One of the things that first struck me when I saw the original WTC at the Houdini Hall of Fame in Niagara Falls was the wood that formed the inside of the cell. It seemed so incongruous for a water-filled interior, and yet so beautiful. Seeing the photo above with wood from the house on the interior of the model is thrilling on a whole new level! Not just his finished pieces, but all the steps in the creation and the whole story of the lath and how they came to be.
