The voice of Theo. Hardeen

Listen to this rare radio interview with Houdini’s brother, Theo. Hardeen. It originally aired on July 3, 1939 as part of WNYC's "Voice of the Theatre" program. The host is Ezra Macintosh.

The recording was unearthed online by Fred Pitella and brought to my attention by Kevin Connolly. This is the only recording of Hardeen’s voice I’ve ever heard.

  1. sounds like he's reading from a script - I wish it was more of a candid unscripted interview - but maybe that's typical of this era.
