The
Ryman Auditorium in Nashville has a new exhibit,
"Unexpected Company,
" showcasing famous names who have appeared at the historic venue. Houdini appeared at the Ryman with his spiritualism lecture on March 11, 1924, and a pair of handcuffs he is said to have used are part of the display.
“Unexpected Company” is now open as part of the Ryman’s daytime tour experience. Tickets and tour information are available at
Ryman.com/Tours.
This is interesting. What are we looking at? It's a stop on his spiritualism lecture tour, yet he seems to be advertised performing his act: Bound hand and foot sunk in water.
