Houdini gets the Biographics treatment

Houdini is the subject of a new video at the popular Biographics YouTube Channel. This compressed biography is hosted by Simon Whistler and written by Arnaldo Teodorani. A few errors creep in, but overall it's well done. And the fact that they debunk the idea that Houdini was a spy gets a thumbs up from me and a share.

Below are a few more made-for-YouTube Houdini treats.

  1. Enjoyed watching this. The fast-talking approach straight to the camera is kind of refreshing; a standard documentary would take 3 times as long to convey the same amount of information. And the wry commentary (so British) is also fun. Thanks for sharing.

    1. These seem to be popular, but it's hard for me to tell if I would find this interesting as a layperson. But the striving for accuracy is very nice. History Channel could learn or thing or two from this.

  2. The dislocating shoulder explanation for the straitjacket release still makes the rounds.
