Official Houdini Seance to be held in Niagara Falls

This year's Official Houdini Seance will be held at the Rapids Theater in Niagara Falls, New York.

Please join us on October 31 at 7:30 pm for the Official Houdini Séance…right here at the haunted Rapids Theatre. Celebrate the life (and return?) of magician Harry Houdini. Enjoy an evening of mystery, magic & mentalism featuring Mentalist Kent Axell, Medium Jenn LeFevre, Magician Keith Randolph, along with Souls Gate Paranormal’s Scott and Deidre Emminger.
Will the Spirits return? Find out at this unique and historic event!

This is a great choice of location. Not only did Houdini film The Man From Beyond on the Niagara rapids, but for many years the Houdini Magical Hall of Fame stood on the Canadian side of the falls. The museum was the site of The Official Houdini Seance in 1968, 1976, and 1992.

The Official Houdini Seance is organized each year by Bill Radner and Tom Boldt.

  1. This is shaping up to be a great event and one I'm looking forward to attending! I'll be bringing one of Barry Spectors 278 'Houdini House' wands to the event, with hopes it can make it to the seance table as well.

  3. Lately many are trying to profit by doing Houdini seances.

The New York Times reported that wife of Houdini wanted the motivation for the spirit-communication to be free from monetary gain.

    1. Obviously this is much more than a seance. This is is a full evening show with paid performers and a rented theater. Of course you have to change admission. And I can only hope Bill and Tom make a profit from this, but I don't think they do. They always go above and beyond, not only for their audience but also for the seance attendees (who pay out of their own pockets to come to these). Everyone involved is doing this for the love of Houdini and as a tribute to Houdini. If Bess were alive, she'd be sitting front and center.

  5. Had I known about this earlier, I would have made the trip. I haven't traveled to the last few Official Seances because, location-wise, the Houdini connection hasn't been that strong. But Niagara Falls is special. I'm bummed to not be part of this one.
