The Travel Channel's Mysteries at the Museum will once again feature a segment about Houdini. The new episode will air January 12. No firm details yet, but from the description, I'm guessing this is about Houdini and Dai Vernon.
This marks Houdini's fifth appearance on the show. Other episodes have explored the Mirror challenge, Margery, Conan Doyle and Eleanor Fletcher Bishop. Hey, that's enough to put together a full Houdini episode, isn't it? Ideas.

I haven't seen any of them so yeah Great idea!
ReplyDeleteThere is a mistake in this episode. Don wild man goes a little "wild" with his information, more importantly his dates. Coming back from the break Don says it's 1929 in Chicago when Houdini lays down a challenge about figuring out any magic trick. Then Vernon fools Houdini the 3 times Houdini says he needs to see the trick and even keeps on showing him but Houdini can never figure it out. To make a long story short Houdini dies in 1926 so was it his ghost that couldn't figure out trick or does "mysteries at the museum", need to hire me as their film editor?
ReplyDeleteThanks. So it was about Vernon as I suspected. I dumped my cable last year, so I didn't see this. Hopefully the Houdini segment will show up online.
Delete1929, eh? That is a trick. :p
Thanks John Cox for all you do. They did not use us to help with this segment.
ReplyDeleteVery often the segments are put up on youtube by the company or an interested viewer.
