First promo for 'Houdini's Last Secrets'

The first promo for the Science Channel's new 4-part series Houdini's Last Secrets is below. The series features George Hardeen and magician Lee Terbosic investigating some of Houdini's enduring mysteries. (I may even show up as well.)

Despite what this promo implies, I've been assured that the show will not actually expose Houdini's secrets.

Houdini's Last Secrets premieres Sunday, January 6 on the Science Channel and the SciGO app.

  1. I look forward to seeing you in this show John! At the edge the pool diving board, cuffed, chained , and hold that small cannonball to weigh you down. Geronimo!

    1. We'll see if I actually make it in! I shot stuff for episode 1 (USD) and episode 3 (Bullet Catch).

  2. Happy to know they won't actually reveal secrets.

Death by Magic on Netflix is worth a watch. There's an episode in Detroit and the story of Houdini's death is told.
Some very good escapes as well.

I'm looking forward to seeing this new series. Hope you make the cut John.

    1. I tried a few episodes of Death By Magic and didn't care for it. I especially didn't like that they called the Milk Can "Genesta's Milk Can." I was fishing for Houdini mentions, but didn't make it to the Detroit episode. I'll give the section a watch. Thanks for the alert!

  4. Is that screen grab preview from the Houdini Museum of NY? I was there for the first time in September and they were filming something while I was there.

    1. Episode 1 is available to stream on the Science Channel website. The method they reveal is not the real one, but they pretend that it is. I'll post my review and get into it on the 6th.

    2. This is false advertising. We know all of Harry's secrets. There are so many books. Plus, it's been almost a hundred years since his passing. The secrets are out.

    3. Everything about reality TV is false, including the advertising.

But there's still a few things that aren't known.
