Houdini died 100 years ago on Halloween. We will present an evening of Houdini starting with highlights from his Hollywood films, a discussion with renowned Houdini expert John Cox, a screening of the 1953 film HOUDINI starring Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, and a live seance attempting to contact Harry Houdini himself with a special appearance by actress Angelica Page.
My appearance will be virtual. I will be in conversation with our friend Tom Boldt, Houdini collector extraordinaire. I wish I could be there in person because Houdini (1953) is always a blast to watch with an audience. But I'm still excited to be part of this.
The Gerold Opera House is located at 136 E Main Street in Weyauwega, WI. For more details, visit the event page on the 2026 Weyauwega International Film Festival website.
