Genii and Houdini make it sweet sixteen

This one slipped past me, but it looks like Houdini made the cover, more or less, of Genii magazine in December 2006. I say “more or less” because Genii is now using a double cover image gimmick with a wrap-around image over the actual cover. Houdini is on the wrap-around. (Seems a bit unfair to both subjects, doesn’t it?)

This article inside is an excerpt from The Secret Life of Houdini, nicely illustrated with rare photos from the book.

Houdini’s first appearance on the cover of Genii was on issue #2 in October 1936. By my count I put this at cover #16 (including one Bessie cover).
