Houdini will never escape Jeopardy!

Houdini was back on Jeopardy! last Friday (Feb 28). This time he appeared as the answer to the Final Jeopardy question. All three contestants got it right.

Houdini Jeopardy! triple stumper

On May 11 Houdini again showed up on Jeopardy! The category was Grandma for $1600. But this one was a triple stumper as none of the contestants could come up with the answer...I mean the question. This was a tough one!

Josephine Weisz was the mother of Houdini's father, Mayer Samuel Weisz. She is not the "Grandmother" we see buried in the Machpelah cemetery family plot. That is Cecelia Weiss's mother, Hannah Heller Steiner.

R.I.P. Alex Trebek

By now I'm sure everyone has heard the sad news that long-time Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek passed away at age 80. Houdini always made for a good question during Trebek's 36 years, and he did again last night. The category was MAGIC and this was for $800. Don't forget to answer in the form of a question.

Jeopardy! offers up an easy one

Houdini is a Daily Double

Houdini showed up on Jeopardy! last Monday (Jan. 22) as a $1,500 Daily Double under the category Myopic Biopics. An easy one, I think, and it was answered correctly by contestant Adrianne Woodward from Rancho Cucamonga, California.

Houdini featured as a full category on Jeopardy! last night. Contestant Nick Condon, a research chemist from Lakewood, Colorado, nearly ran the whole category, including the final question which was a daily double. Condon felt so confident that he bet all he had, making it a true daily double, and won!
