Escaping Obscurity Deluxe Edition No. 68 at auction

As a rule, I don't post about auction lots before an auction, but this one I can't resist. The upcoming Haversat & Ewing Auction #54 includes a Deluxe Edition of Escaping Obscurity: The Travel Diary of Harry Houdini, 1897–1899. This is the first time I've seen one of these at auction, and I'm curious to see what it sells for. (To be clear, this is not a copy owned by me or anyone I know.)

These 150 slipcase editions sold out within 48 hours, making them the fastest-selling Deluxe Edition in Mike Caveney's Magic Words history. Each book includes a print of an 1894 advert for The Houdinis made from an original printing plate in the Conjuring Arts Research Center. It's also signed by all four book contributors and comes in a very nicely designed slipcase. Click the images below to view the lot.
