The Amazing Exploits of HOUDINI, Vol. 3 released

Joe Notaro and Arthur Moses have the honor of being the first to publish a new Houdini book in 2026. Their third volume, reprinting the Kinema Comic series The Amazing Exploits of Houdini, was released on January 15. Details below.

The British Boys weekly “The Kinema Comic” ran a serial “The Amazing Exploits of HOUDINI” (“Written by Houdini Himself” – or so it says) from April 24, 1920 to November 27, 1926. In these yarns, which no one should miss, the Master of Mystery chronicles his most amazing exploits. Surviving copies are almost impossible to come by these days. Joe M. Notaro and Arthur Moses have been tracking down these rare issues and are making them available to you in a book series by year (and months). 

In this newest offering, they have compiled the 1922 (Jul – Dec) weekly serials (27 issues) of “The Amazing Exploits of HOUDINI” into a single book (with original illustrations).

The Amazing Exploits of HOUDINI, Vol. 2 released

The second volume in Joe Notaro and Arthur Moses's reprints of the Kinema Comic series The Amazing Exploits of Houdini has now been released. Details below.

From April 24, 1920 to November 27,1926, The Kinema Comic in England published a serial called "The Amazing Exploits of HOUDINI, Written by Houdini Himself." In these yarns, the Master of Mystery chronicles his most amazing exploits. Surviving copies of these issues are almost impossible to come by these days.

Now, Joe M. Notaro and Arthur Moses are tracking down these rare stories and making them available in book form for the very first time!

This second volume compiles the stories that ran from January to June 1922 (25 issues) along with all the original illustrations.

Joe Notaro presents Houdini's Jorkins & Co

Our friend Joe Notaro is back with another intriguing Houdini publication: Houdini's Jorkins & Co: Developed from The Duffer Detective by David Pitt (aka Herbert Allingham). Joe first revealed the existence of Jorkins & Co on his blog in June 2021. What a clever idea to recreate this story as a book! Details below.

Joe M. Notaro brought Allingham's Houdini’s Schooldays into print and now he tackles the not widely known Jorkins & Co.

Jorkins & Co [1922-3] was a short story series developed from Allingham’s The Duffer, Detective ascribed to Houdini, the Handcuff King.

Tracking down a surviving copy of Houdini’s Jorkins & Co has been elusive, so Joe has taken liberties and updated The Duffer, Detective with “Houdini” references; similar to what Allingham did with Houdini’s Schooldays. 

In Jorkins & Co., Houdini has left his school days and has gone in search of new adventure. He summons his old school friend, Arthur Merlin, to help him rescue an acquaintance called Jorkins, who has mysteriously disappeared.
