The Linking Ring reveals Houdini's Chattanooga debacle

The December 2020 issue of The Linking Ring features an article by yours truly about "Houdini and the Chattanooga Debacle." This is the same deep dive I posted here, but with some updates and new images.

I'm honored that The Linking Ring's executive editor Sammy Smith has invited me to submit occasional Houdini-related articles from WAH to his magazine. So if you have a favorite post that you'd like to see in print, please let me know!

The Linking Ring is the official magazine of the International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM). You can join the IBM and receive the magazine via their official website.

  1. I'm surprised it hasn't happened sooner. You have the credentials to be contributing articles on HH to Genii, MUM, Gibeciere, and the Yankee Collector.

    1. Thanks. I have published a few pieces in MAGIC and I think I had a short review of the Houdini miniseries in Genii. And I first published in Linking Ring in 2017. But I think most magazines would like original content, not something that has already appeared online, and there's no real incentive for me to do that. If I'm going to work offline, it should be on my book! What I love about Sammy is he's fine with blog material (I always update and reshape a bit), he gets them in fast, and his layouts are great. And it is fun to see things in print. :)
