Own a printed copy of Houdini's congressional hearing

If you're like me, you've always wanted a printed copy of the congressional hearings Houdini attended in 1926. In fact, I've never read the entire hearing transcript precisely because I didn't have a hardcopy. But now our good friend Michael Mitnick (proud owner of a Houdini bathtub) is offering four printed copies on eBay. These are the full transcript printed from a Google Books scan in the University of Michigan. It runs 169 pages and is accompanied by three photographs. Nicely done!

  1. Received my copy today, and it was not a hard copy but a paperback copy with three photos stuck to the book, one on the front cover, and two on the back cover, not sure it was worth the big bucks, but, it is nice to have in your Houdini library. the book, without the photos, you may still be able to ordered it off Googles books, but that can always change.
    Book is nicely done.

    1. Hi Nadawolf. I'm sorry. I used the word "hardcopy" in my headline -- but what I meant by that was a printed edition, not a hardback. But I see how that can cause confusion and I've changed it. But even though it's a paperback, it is still very well done and absolutely worth having.

  2. Got mine 05/05. Wow! The printed foil cover is a stunner, and the photos on the back cover are almost 3D. Interior is a study in attention to detail, replicating every mark, stamp, and nuance of the original. I hope these continue to be available to fans & collectors. RECOMMENDED
