Appleton showcases "Houdini in Art"

Feather & Bone will present a special gallery featuring 35 original pieces of artwork devoted to Houdini at Appleton's Mile of Music festival starting Wednesday, August 5th.

"We put out an open call for people to submit art," said show curator John Adams. "We have a little bit of everything — painting, sculptures, photography, mixed media. It's all based on Houdini. It's anything they wanted to portray, abstract or literal."

Works are by local artists plus a few from Chicago and Los Angeles.

The gallery will be housed in the former Harmony Cafe space at 233 E. College Ave. The exhibit will run five days through August 9th.
