By the way, in talking with Anna about the recent Mysteries at the Museum Margery segment, I was surprised to learn that Mina pronounced her name as "My-na," not "Mee-na." I admit I've been pronouncing it wrong all these years, as have most others. "You are among the 5 people left living who know the correct pronunciation," joked Anna.
Now we all know.
Thanks as always to Anna Thurlow for sharing her family treasures. For more artifacts from the Libbet Crandon de Malmud Collection revisit The Margery Files.
This is really cool. I love the information on the proper way to pronounce the name.ReplyDelete
Yeah, I love that too.Delete
My friend Rumina Murphy pronounces her diminutive "My-na".ReplyDelete
